Helping Children, Teens, and Families Feel More Connected and Supported

If you’re a parent feeling worried about your child’s emotional well-being, behaviour, or stress levels, you’re not alone. Many families come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to help, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel supportive. Reaching out can feel daunting — but it’s also a powerful first step.

I work primarily with children, teens, and parents, helping families navigate emotional challenges, strengthen connections, and build healthier ways of communicating and coping. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where young people feel understood and supported, and where parents feel guided, empowered, and less alone.

Through therapy, we work together to better understand what’s going on beneath the surface, develop practical tools, and support growth — both individually and as a family.

My Approach

My work is warm, collaborative, and developmentally informed. I tailor each session to the child or teen’s age, personality, and needs, using creative and evidence-based approaches to help them express emotions, manage stress, and build emotional resilience.

I also support parents through parent-focused sessions, offering guidance, education, and practical strategies to strengthen the parent–child relationship, navigate behavioural challenges, and reduce family stress.

I believe therapy should feel safe, engaging, and empowering — not intimidating. Whether we are using conversation, play, or creative expression, my focus is always on helping clients feel seen, supported, and capable of growth.

Experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and have over three years of experience in counselling, crisis intervention, and mental health support. Throughout my career, I have worked closely with children, teens, and families, supporting them through anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and relationship difficulties.

My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each family’s unique dynamics. I value ongoing learning and strive to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that meets each client where they are.

More Than Just My Work

I believe deeply in the power of creativity, play, and connection as pathways to emotional growth. These values naturally inform my work with children and teens, helping them express themselves in ways that feel safe and developmentally appropriate.

Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in creativity, spending time in nature, and appreciating meaningful moments of connection — values that align closely with how I support families in my work.
