A Calm, Grounded Space to Slow Down and Reconnect

When life feels rushed, emotionally heavy, or overwhelming, it can be hard to know where to begin. Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted, stretched thin, or disconnected from themselves after holding too much for too long. In a world that often encourages us to keep going no matter what, therapy can offer something different — a place to pause, breathe, and gently reconnect with yourself.

I offer a calm, grounded, and compassionate space where you don’t need to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll take time to understand what’s been weighing on you, explore how past and present experiences may be shaping your inner world, and gently build practical ways to feel more steady, supported, and clear. My intention is to help you feel heard, respected, and accompanied as you move through this chapter of your life with greater ease and self-understanding.

Experience

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, including more than 14 years working in a psychiatric hospital setting. My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and deep respect for each person’s unique life story. I draw from an integrated therapeutic approach that includes mindfulness-based practices, meaning-oriented therapies, and psychodynamic work informed by Self-in-Relationship Therapy. I also have specialized training in grief and loss, and I bring a calm, steady presence to complex emotional experiences.

More Than Just My Work

Creativity has always been an important part of my life — through music, art, and writing. I believe creative expression can be both deeply healing and spiritually meaningful. This belief has shaped my professional and personal journey, including the publication of two books: Creativity, Spirituality and Mental Health: Exploring Connections (Routledge, 2009) and my memoir, Who Am I Now? Reflections on Spirituality and Grief (Santos Books, 2025).

Both my writing and my clinical work share the same foundation: compassion, curiosity, and a belief in the human capacity for resilience and growth — even during times of loss or uncertainty. I strive to create a therapeutic space where reflection, meaning-making, and emotional healing can unfold at a pace that feels respectful, supportive, and human.
